Actress Hina Khan recently informed her fans that she is battling stage 3 breast cancer leaving them shocked and worried. She made waves in the Hindi television industry with her versatile performance. Having made her debut with Rajan Shahi’s show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, her portrayal of Akshara impressed the audiences. After showing how she attended an award ceremony right before going to her first chemotherapy, the actress on Thursday, took to her official social media handle to share a video where she chopped off her hair which left her mother inconsolable.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Khan penned a long note alongside her video, in which she is heard consoling her mother. She is seated in front of the mirror as her friend ties her hair in braids, the actress is heard telling her mother, “Ro nahi (Don't cry) please mumma. It's just hair, mumma. Baal hain, aap nahi cut karte ho (It's hair, don't you cut it)?” As her mother couldn’t control her sobs, she added, “Bas. Aapki tabiyat kharab hojayegi (Stop. You will fall ill).” It is further seen that an emotional Hina cuts her first braid, with the guidance of her friend. The 36-year-old actress keeps getting excited as the friend styles her hair. As the video comes to an end, Hina’s mother rushes to her showers her with hugs and kisses. A part of her heartfelt caption reads, “I choose to let go of my beautiful hair before it starts falling off. I didn’t want to endure this mental breakdown for weeks. So, I choose to let go of my crown because I’ve realized my real crown is my COURAGE, my STRENGTH , and the love I have for myself. Aur haan.. She went on to conclude that she had decided to record her story and her journey to make sure that her efforts to embrace herself reach others as well. She added, “If my story can make even one day of this heartwarming yet excruciating experience better for someone, it’s worth it…May God ease our pain and give us strength to be victorious. Plz Pray Pray Pray for me.”
On the work front, Hina Khan was last seen in Shinda Shinda No Papa, a Punjabi film, alongside Gippy Grewal.
